A Legacy of Giving, A Future for Fayette
The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) is a nonprofit foundation, created in 1999 by and for the people of Fayette County. CFFC’s mission is to build a stronger Fayette County by inspiring charitable giving, supporting nonprofits, and nurturing positive community impact.
“As a lifelong Fayette County resident, I once wondered what our community would look like after philanthropists like Mr. Eberly and Mr. Hardy were gone,” said CFFC CEO Jessica Hajek-Bates. “Today, their spirit is being carried forward by a new generation of local benefactors committed to strengthening our community for decades to come.”
CFFC is the community’s permanent charitable foundation. With the support of many, CFFC works to address community needs for today, tomorrow, and forever through charitable funds, nonprofit grant awards, post-secondary scholarships and community-driven fundraising initiatives.
The foundation’s Building a Stronger Fayette Fund serves as its primary endowment for community grantmaking. Each year, the fund supports local nonprofits advancing arts and culture, education, community and economic development, health and human services, capacity building, and other key areas that strengthen Fayette County.
In 2025, CFFC established a new permanent home at 250 West Main Street in Uniontown—a prominent, central location chosen to deepen its connection with residents and nonprofit partners. The move signals a renewed commitment to being an accessible, visible force for community progress.
